Veterans & Special Education

As counsel with accreditation from the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs, we are able to provide military veterans with legal representation in matters involving their VA benefits, including matters arising out of disabilities that were acquired or aggravated during the client’s time of military service. We welcome inquiries from veterans on these and other issues, and are happy to see if we can assist in some way.

Beyond the special services we furnish to veterans, we feel a deep debt of gratitude to those who have served our country to preserve the freedoms we often take for granted. In honor of their service and sacrifice, we offer veterans special discounts on any legal services we provide as our humble way of saying “thank you.”

Finally, we also represent students and their families in special education matters involving individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans that have been proposed or implemented for the student by the school he or she attends. Parents sometimes feel that such plans are inadequate or inappropriate for their child, but despite their best efforts to have their child’s plan changed, the school district seems to turn a deaf ear to their concerns. We have experience counseling and advocating for parents in their dealings with school districts to find a solution to those concerns.

If you are a veteran with a benefits question or a legal issue of any kind, or if you are a parent with a child who has an IEP or 504 plan and you believe legal assistance in communicating with the school district is the next step, please call us to see how we can help you.
